SPORTS: Join Red Bull Street Style today at the Great Hall for the National Street Style Finals. Sixteen soccer-trick stars will compete to become Canada's freestyle soccer champion, with the winner advancing to the Red Bull Street Style Worlds Finals next month in Brazil. The Great Hall (1087 Queen Street West), 3:30 p.m., FREE.

WORKSHOP: Garden Jane is holding a workshop today in the High Park Children's Garden on organic gardening and permaculture. The hands-on introduction to both topics will discuss organic and permaculture practices, garden bed clean-up, and soil building. Contact Garden Jane for registration information. High Park Children's Garden (on Colborne Lodge Drive, north of Colborne Lodge), 10 a.m., $50-$75.

MUSIC: Austin indie rockers Okkervil River, who we've previously swooned over, are playing tonight at the Phoenix Concert Theatre. Denver's Crooked Fingers will be opening. Phoenix Concert Theatre (410 Sherbourne Street), 8 p.m., $15.50

THEATRE: Beakman's World host Beakman will perform live at the Harbourfront Centre today. He'll be presenting death-defying stunts accompanied by scientific explanations (Criss Angel will be none too pleased). The event is part of “GEEK OUT!” the Harbourfront Centre's two-day celebration of creativity and kids. Harbourfront Centre (100 Queens Quay West), 2:15 and 4:15 p.m., FREE.
