Portrait Project: He Is Not A Crook!

Sarah Lazarovic—curator of the garage-based Montrose Portrait Gallery of Canada—is painting a portrait of a Torontonian every day. Each Monday, we'll feature one of those portraits here. Suggestions for subjects welcome.

Though his resumé is extensive and his chops impressive, for some of us, Len Cariou will always be that guy from Murder, She Wrote. Intriguingly, he was also the inspiration for Sweeney Todd, and Glenn Close's paramour. He acquits himself well in CanStage's production of Frost/Nixon, perhaps eliciting a little too much sympathy for Tricky Dick.
