ART: This month's exhibit at the Steam Whistle Brewing Gallery is called "It Figures" and celebrates the human form through varied and unique artistic interpretations. The artists featured this month are Michael Tenaglia, Aurora Pagano, Jessica Gorlicky, and Jacqueline Okuhara. There is an opening reception tonight for the exhibit, with the artists in attendance. Steam Whistle Brewing Gallery (255 Bremner Boulevard), 6 p.m., FREE.

WORDS: This Is Not A Reading Series continues this evening with a launch party for Lee Henderson's debut novel, The Man Game. Quill & Quire review editor Nathan Whitlock is hosting the event, which includes a lecture by Henderson himself. There will also be a display of artwork inspired by The Man Game, by visual artists such as Keith Jones, Marc Bell, Maura Doyle, and Shay Semple, among others. Gladstone Hotel Ballroom (1214 Queen Street West), 7 p.m., FREE.

POLITICS: Tonight at the Theatre Centre there will be a town hall meeting to discuss the Conservative Government's budget cuts to the Cultural, Heritage and Recreation Granting Programs. The funds were intended to help charitable organizations, artists, and other art institutions. The Theatre Centre (1087 Queen Street West), 7 p.m., FREE.
