Zoom Goes Boom

Planning on flying to the UK, Paris, or Rome anytime soon? Well, don't look to Zoom Airlines to take you there—even if you've already booked tickets with them. Zoom have just announced that they have ceased operations, with all aircraft grounded—something that has already caused significant problems, with reports of passengers stranded in Halifax, and, we guess, plenty of holiday takers currently stranded in every one of Zoom's destinations. According to the announcement, passengers will have to "refer to [their] credit or debit card company to apply for a refund," but they have at least listed every other airline you might be able to purchase a required flight with (you know, like the one to get you home)—trusting they don't also implode due to the price of fuel before you manage to get to the departure lounge.

That sucks. Zoom were one of my favourites - Aside from the confused Union Jack/Saltire posters.

I got the email from them this afternoon and I couldn't believe it...my cousin is supposed to be flying home from Glasgow tomorrow morning!!!! That totally sucks!!!!

I think the question we're all asking is: are they still gonna make popcorn? (Anyone? Anyone?)
