MUSIC: San Fransisco melodic indie duo Mates of State are playing tonight at Lee's Palace. Joining the husband and wife team are Oakland progressive string-metal group Judgement Day. Lee's Palace (529 Bloor Street West), 8 p.m., $15.

FILM: For those of you who don't feel like dishing out another $15 to see The Dark Knight in IMAX again, The Revue is screening two films tonight. The first, at 7 p.m., is Jon Favreau's clever adaptation of Iron Man, starring Robert Downey Jr. The second, at 9:30 p.m., is director Garth Jenning's comedy Son of Rambow, about a young boy convinced to play a stuntman in a classmate's tribute to Rambo: First Blood. The Revue Cinema (400 Roncesvalles Avenue), 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., $6.50 (for each).

SPORTS: The Blue Jays are playing the first of their four-game series against the Oakland Athletics this evening. Scheduled to pitch for the Jays is Mr. Roy Halladay, who faces the A's for the second time this season, and who hopes to make today the best Civic Halladay ever. Rogers Centre (1 Blue Jays Way), 6:07 p.m., $9–$63.
