Here Kitty Kitty Kitty

If this reminds you of your childhood, then you've got plans this Saturday. Rain or shine from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m. the Annex Cat Rescue is hosting a puuurfectly lovely little garage sale to raise money for those critters in need of a home. The event promises "great finds and bargains galore!" not that Torontoist has ever needed an excuse to hit up a garage sale. Since a portion of the proceeds from the sale will go directly to the Annex Rescue, a registered Canadian charity run solely by volunteers, it makes us feel extra fuzzy inside about doing a little shopping. The money will help the Rescue stay committed to their goal of providing aid for stray and feral cats around the GTA. They also offer a variety of cats and kitties for adoption.

If vintage clothes and kitsch antiques aren't your thing but you want to show support, what better way than picking up a few treats for that furry muffin at home. Catnip "sausage" toys and "Purr Pads" will be readily available. What's a "Purr Pad," you ask? Well there's only one way to find out.

The Yard Sale for the Kitties is a 100% haggle-free zone and they ask that no early birds try to come and get the catnip worm. (Personally, Torontoist thinks 10 a.m. is early enough.) The sale takes place this Saturday July 26 at 244 Howland Avenue, just south of Dupont.
