Technically, the 1978 card shows the 1977 team.
The 1979 O-Pee-Chee (Canadian version of Topps from 1965-1992) card of Rico Carty shows him with the Blue Jays with a traded line.
Oddly, the 1977 Topps card showed Carty airbrushed into an Blue Jays uniform (he never played with the team that year), while the O-Pee-Chee card has him on the Indians. He only appears as a Blue Jay with out any artistic embellishment in the 1980 set.

Interestingly the 1977 O-Pee-Chee set has more Blue Jays than in the Topps set. In the Topps set the players all had airbrushed uniforms with inaccurate colours, while the O-Pee-Chee set has most of the Jays in actual uniforms or airbrushed into uniforms with the proper colours. There are also cards of players not in the Topps set or on multiple rookie cards, like Doug Ault and Alvis Woods, plus a card featuring the coaches and an individual card for manager Roy Hartsfield. I'd be happy to scan some of these for you.
