Less likely to be a caribou than a carabao. The caption on the Flickr page indicates that the author is aware of the pronunciation; a couple of minutes of searching suggests that the confusing-to-Canadians spelling is not an uncommon variant, at least on the Web.
Agreed; it should be caraboa. But it's our policy not to change the titles that the photographers have given their shots.
