Tyler Clark Burke vs Tyler Clark Burke

2008_04_16tcbtcb.jpg

Attention, stalkers of local multihyphenate Tyler Clark Burke: either you'll have to figure out how to be in two places at once this weekend, or you'll be flipping a coin.

Heads: from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, TCB fetes her new exhibit, "A Murder of Vs," at Katherine Mulherin Contemporary Art Projects (also known as a "gallery," located at 1086 Queen Street West). The artist promises "paintings and sculpture and prisms" (oh my!) that deal with the last year of her life, particularly the death of her mother Val, the mystery of her last week, and the crows that appeared in the week after. Her last exhibit, "Shimera," was rave-reviewed all over the city, so hopes are high for Burke's newest works.

Tails: in the hot-and-fresh aisle at Supermarket (268 Augusta Avenue), TCB's new party, Champion Sound, will be blasting "boom-boom mega-mega heavy-heavy dance jams" (think Rihanna and reggae mixes). Word on the street is, the Kensington spot will be spilling with Santa Cruz-ers by 10 p.m. Put on your raddest kicks and run over early to avoid cooling those heels in line.
