A Lot Of Bands You Like Are Playing For Free, Again!

yolatengo_beautifulnoise.jpgJust like last year, the television show/concert series Beautiful Noise is filming next week at Berkeley Church (315 Queen Street East), which means one really really terrific thing: totally free concerts! Like, Yo La Tengo! My Morning Jacket! British Sea Power! Stars! Islands! Ted Leo and the Pharmacists! The Constantines! And, like, a dozen more!

Here's what you've got to do to get in. The full list of dates and bands follow after the fold (it's a tad messy)—RSVP to the specific e-mail address that corresponds to the concert you want to go to, and in the subject of that e-mail, put your full name and the number of tickets you want (no more than two). If you get a confirmation e-mail, you're in! If you don't, too bad! You can always watch the concerts when they eventually air on Sun TV. Either way, direct your thank yous to the Musebox, who are the ones hooking everyone up.

Some rules and notes for those who do get in: it's all-ages, with liquor served if you've got ID. Unless otherwise noted, doors open at 6:45, and there's no admittance after 8 p.m. (You're expected to stay the whole time.) Expect a sweet lights show, lots of video cameras, and not being allowed to wear "obvious" logos or brand names, or bring a camera of your own. In spite of the atypical format and all the rules, the concerts are pretty great; we went to the Long Winters taping last May and scored the lead singer's kazoo out of it. All for free!

Read on for the bands, dates, and where to get your RSVP to.

Whoever is lucky enough to get onto the guestlist for these shows is going to be in for one hell of a good time.
fingers crossed for either My Morning Jacket or the Constantines

Hey, it's People IN Planes.

Not like it matters, because the band totally "sucks" and none of you should enter thus hurting my chances :D
