Obama Thumps Hillary, WGA Strike Finally Over, And GM And Bell Have Some Bad News For You

obamaindarkness.jpg

Barack Obama thumps Hillary Clinton in last night's primaries. Obama for the first time won the majority of Latino voters, the majority of women voters, and the majority of senior citizen voters, while broadening his support in the demographics he was already winning. On the bright side for Hillary, she did manage to win the vote of nearly 87 percent of the voters who thought she was more qualified to be President than Obama. On the Republican side, John McCain won all his primaries, then told us that Barack Obama is a young whippersnapper selling false hope, and that grownups know that despair is the only rational response to the world.

Writer's Guild of America strike ends. We have all been spared having to even consider watching Farmer Wants A Wife. Well, until they decide to air it anyway during a slow part of the summer.

22 people arrested in largest child porn sweep in Ontario history. While this certainly sounds like good news, remember that it is Julian Fantino who coordinated the raid, so for all we know it was just a bunch of gay people in a park somewhere.

General Motors reports largest loss ever. The car company lost $38.7 billion in 2007 and is attempting to buy out 74,000 of its workers contracts so it can replace them with lower-paid help. Wait, $38.7 billion? With a "b"? Holy crap, that is a lot of money they lost. Moral of story: if you are a car company, do not make really, really shitty cars.

Finally: personal information of 3.5 million Bell Canada customers stolen. If you are interested in a very large database of names and addresses and phone numbers, be underneath the Carlaw bridge tonight at 11:30. The password is "Butch Cassidy."

- At least, that's what we'll tell the public.

"Um, yeah, it was stolen, that's it...yeah, stolen. Why, I was in the cafeteria with my wife...eh...Morgan Fairchild, yeah, yeah, and someone snuck in and stole it all. Yeah, that's the tic---isn't that special?"

As for GM, watch as they lay off all thier workers here, claim more losses, close factories, reopen factories in Singapore and then suddenly they'll bounce back. And as usual, they win, employees/middle class loses.
America: We don't make a damn thing and we're proud of it.
Atlas is Shrugging, but does he have to shit all over the rest of us too?
Kids, pack your things, were moving to Dubai.

lol. that made my day

Loved the Fantino comment, made me laugh out loud. Similarly and the GM thing... I am probably the luckiest person alive as I have had almost NO problems with my 2001 Cavalier... almost 300k on it now... and nothing but normal maintenance stuff. But I have serious concerns about buying another...
