Oh the American Apparel ad that made me think the building was a stripclub is finally gone!

  • j0hnnyb

Do you think that arcade is a last non-Dave-and-Busters video arcade in the city?

  • quest

Thanks! I didn’t know that space was available!
(If you’re so against advertising, why advertise for the advertising company?)

That’s a shame, I spent the better part of my high school years playing street fighter there. I like the typeface on the sign though, I wonder how long it will stay like that.

it is all the same on yonge/dundas. The rent has to be paid… WHAT AN EPIPHANY!
A concept I don’t think Mr. Goldsbie is accustomed to dealing with…
@antiboy: judging from the picture, the building is not gone… :P

apparently, activism is now achieved by deliberately misreading signs.

Somebody needs to bring back the “Yonge Street is Fun Street” sign that used to adorn one of these buildings back in the 80s.

This makes me remember the awesomely unsophisticated Pizza UFO at Yonge and Gould, with their $1 paper plate of tomato-pasta slop and frequently homeless clientele.

that arcade used to have a quick-draw 6 gun game w/a 6′ ceramic cowboy as well as an awesome bb machine gun shooting gallery w/ water feature at the back. good times.

The award for mis-use of ‘and/or’ goes to…

  • reetdoontoon

    me/myself!

The American Apparel ad isn’t gone, it’s just a few metres to the right of that picture. I still have to look at that girl’s ass every day on my way home from classes at Ryerson.
