Nuke Safety Chief Gets The Axe, Mitt Romney Gets The Nod, John Ferguson Gets A Stay Of Execution

chalkgetit.jpg

Government fires head of Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission Linda Keen. However, it is understandable, considering that Ms. Keen went public about government interference in her job and threats of being fired if she shut down the Chalk River reactor for being potentially unsafe. We mean, you can't say she wasn't warned that her bosses were mendacious assholes, is our point.

Mitt Romney wins Michigan Republican primary. The former Massachusetts governor, thought to be made entirely of postmodern synethetics, needed the win to remain viable. Now that he has done so, the Republican race proves to become even more fractious, divided, and chaotic. So really we're all winners.

Canadian real estate sales and prices break new records in 2007. Just remember to keep repeating to yourself "there is no housing bubble" over and over again. It worked wonders for the United States! Well, until it didn't.

Canada's aboriginal population tops 1 million for the first time. Also, more and more of them live in cities nowadays. It's almost like centuries of oppression and bad-faith dealing never happened!

Finally, the Leafs refuse to say whether they're going to fire John Ferguson now or later.

That picture is delicious!

slightly chalky aftertaste:- )

I don't know how accurate it is to declare that the aboriginal population is over 1,000,000 for the first time...I'm sure it was pretty up there before European contact...

The Leafs should do what the LA Kings are, lose and lose all the time which would get rid of John Ferguson and they would get first draft pick... DUH!
