Toaster Bike Heralds New Era In Mobile Eating

How many times have you been biking down the street and thought to yourself, “Wow, I wish I had a Pop-Tart!” Well, one enterprising cyclist (here parked near Yonge & Lawrence) has found the solution to this age-old problem––attaching a toaster oven directly to the handlebars of the bike. No word on exactly how the thing works, but we’re guessing it’s solar-powered.

    Are you sure someone just didn’t throw an old toaster at a bike? ;)
    I think this is just a Frankenstein bike, but not a functioning toaster/bike.
    Your average toaster oven requires about 1250W… and regardless of the amerage and voltage, the number and size of solar panels that would be needed to power this would be many and large.
    Even if pedal power and a battery were spliced in, I doubt this would work.

    There are a number of Electric Bicycles available, which are like mopeds, but quieter. (example: http://www.greenspeed.us )
    But this isn’t one of them.
    Adding a toaster to an Electric Bike has been suggested as a way to dispose of the excess electricity coming from the dynamic/regenerative brakes on a long mountain descent.
