Help Find Alana Livas

alana_livas.jpgThis is outside––far outside––of Torontoist's scope, but reader Chris Stone e-mailed us to ask for help in publicizing a missing child case, and we figured we should do what we can.

Five-year-old Alana Livas (pictured) is missing, abducted by her birth parents, Vivene and Peter Livas. Missing from Toronto since November 29, Alana has rickets and may need medical attention. Her most distinguishing physical characteristic is a blue birthmark beside her right eye.

The RCMP has more details on their website, and you can also check out the two flyers that were sent to us for more photos (particularly of Peter and Vivene) and details on top of that.

If you see Peter, Vivene, or Alana Livas, please call police at 416-808-4100 or Crime Stoppers (anonymously) at 1-800-222-TIPS.

We'll be back to your less serious and less depressing regularly-scheduled Torontoist content later this morning.
