Salmon Dying, Life of Brian, Baseballers Were Lying

A new study says that diseases and parasites from farmed fish are having devastating effects on wild salmon stocks in parts of B.C. Skyrocketing global demand for seafood means fish farming can be very profitable, even when the cost of frequent tractor replacements is taken into account.

Brian Mulroney continues to be the centre of the most-covered and least-followed story in the Canadian media. Basically he says he's not guilty of anything except taking a couple hundred grand in cash for doing not much of anything and then sticking it in safe deposit boxes and not declaring it on his tax returns until the guy who gave it to him was arrested. Come on, who among us hasn't done that at some point in their life?

A Canada Post program which replies to kid's letters to Santa was temporarily halted after an Ottawa mother received a letter to her son in which the handwritten postscript advised that "your mom s--- d---- and your dad is gay." Police are investigating the matter, and the family has denied Santa's allegations.

is it wrong of me to find that reply from 'santa' bleakly amusing? do i have no more soul?

humbug.

Also, am I reading the Star? You can't spell out the very bad word(s) that were said?

The story didn't detail the words, and while I can make an educated guess as to what they were, I didn't want to make assumptions. Besides, it's more titillating this way.

you said "tit!"

Maybe Santa was taking too many performance enhancing drugs in an effort to break into professional baseball in his downtime.
