hotdogcart.jpg

City backs away from plan to buy its own sidewalk food carts. And to think, it only took about ten thousand "what the hell is the city doing buying food carts, just let people buy their own damn food carts" comments and articles for the City to get the message! Toronto is getting more responsive every day, it really is.

Canadian Border Services Agency says that Vancouver International Airport needs more patrols and security checks. Surprisingly, the report does not mention anything about, and this is just off the top of Torontoist's head, not tasering people until they die.

Oprah Winfrey to campaign for Barack Obama. However, it will all end in tears when Obama reveals that he's not really running for President and he just made the whole campaign up.

Poverty increasing in Toronto. Thirty percent of all Toronto families are considered very low-income, nearly double what it was in 1990. But don't worry, because housing prices are so high that these families never would have owned a home even if they were just somewhat poor!

Finally, speaking of poverty, child poverty in Canada remains unchanged after nearly twenty years. I guess Mel Hurtig is going to have to have to write another book. Luckily, Dalton McGuinty is on the case!
