Every weekday morning, bright and early, we feature a photo (or two) from a photographer in the Torontoist Flickr Pool. It's our way of giving the many excellent photographers in our pool the attention that they deserve.

I really like the daily photoist. It would be so much better if it were captioned. True, if one clicks through to flickr, there is often an explanation there, but often not.
Photoist used to be captioned, but I've found that––nine times out of ten––the photos work best by themselves. Most of the time, if someone submits something that there's something interesting to say to compliment the photo, we'll turn it into a standalone post, like this one.
