If you like crowds, candy, and Christmas, but hate––absolutely hate––having time off of work, celebrating holidays at the proper time of year, and snow, this weekend's Santa Claus Parade is your month-too-early Mecca.

Now in its hundred and third year, the parade will begin on Sunday, November 18, at 12:30 p.m., traveling from Bloor and Christie, east along Bloor to Avenue, south on Avenue, around Queen's Park, and further south along University to Queen. At Queen, the parade heads east to Yonge, south on Yonge, and east along Front Street, before ending at the corner of Front and Church Streets, where, presumably, the North Pole is located. As always, drivers, bicyclists, and pedestrians may have to look for an alternate route if they want to get pretty much anywhere downtown Sunday afternoon. (We recommend not having to get anywhere Sunday afternoon.)

More information about the parade is available on its website, which we do not recommend looking at for any reason. Sure, it's been redesigned since last year––there's no more horrifying elf on its main page––but if you don't like Javascript, Flash, having your eyes weep tears of blood, or clowns, you'll maybe want to steer clear of it and just show up on Sunday none the wiser.
