Populist: November 19–25

We publish a lot of articles on Torontoist, and sometimes it's hard to keep up. Populist is a weekly recap, appearing every Sunday night, that features some of the coolest, most interesting, most commented, and most recommended posts from our past week.

• David Fleischer checked out U of T's starring role in PCU in the latest edition of Reel Toronto. It's a good thing that U of T is no longer ruled by political correctness, and that all of its members––regardless of race, class, or any other characteristics––interact harmoniously! • Julie Reitsma faced off the city's delivery pad thai in the latest Great Torontoist Challenge. Restaurant owners and cooks take note: ketchup was not an ingredient in the winner's dish. (This week's most commented-on article.)
• Mathew Katz checked out an amazing public art project in Holland that'd require a lot of blue paint and a decent sense of humour to be able to pull off here.
• David Topping polled Torontoist readers about the amount of advertising on the TTC, which is apparently somewhere between "not nearly enough" and "way too much"; and wrote about Coyote Ugly's new home in the entertainment district, which is yet another blow to the Canadian coyote's fragile ego.
• Kevin Plummer wrote an extensive article about Toronto's Grey Cup history, which involves winning, Union Station square dancing, and Hamilton being dicks.
• Jaime Woo blah blah Bell blah blah touch cellphone blah blah not the iPhone.
• Adam Miller continued A City Intersected with a look at Bayview Avenue & Eglinton Avenue East, an intersection not nearly as boring or as lifeless as you'd think at first glance.
• Erinn Cunningham looked to Ottawa's Irving Greenberg Centre For The Performing Arts for inspiration.
• Readers' favourite photo of the week (by recommends) was Monday's eerily prescient photo of last winter's snowfall, taken by discarnateque.
