Butts Counted, Cameras Touted, Trudeau Mounted?

News_2Nov07.jpgResearchers doing one of the shittiest jobs in the nation have gathered up schoolyard cigarette butts and determined that teens are smoking large numbers of contraband cigarettes. The study was funded by the Canadian Convenience Stores Association, which believes we should protect our kids by ensuring they only indulge in healthy store-bought smokes.

Police are optimistic that security cameras in the Entertainment District will provide evidence in Monday night's wild shootout. The cameras could have picked up the faces of one or more shooters, barring the possibility that the criminals have learned about hoods.

Lesser-known Stone Ron Wood's autobiography implies that he and Margaret Trudeau had some kind of affair back in 1977, only days after her separation from then-PM Pierre Trudeau. Trudeau has always denied having a relationship with any Rolling Stone, even the cool ones. Anyway, what happens in 1977, stays in 1977.

Employers added 63,000 new jobs in September—far more than expected—driving the unemployment rate down to 5.9%. Unfortunately, jobs were not added at the Chrysler plant in Brampton, which will be laying off 1,100 workers due to economic conditions and Chrysler's baffling inability to design cars that people want to buy.

Here's an idea. Why don't you test those counterfeit cigarette butts for traces of harmful chemicals and see if they are actually worse than regular cigarettes.

That would be far more productive than actually just -assuming- they are more harmful because they are not regulated.

The survey wasn't conducted by any health organization, so don't assume they were concerned about the health of the smokers. I mean hell, they didn't even bother to say teens shouldn't be smoking!
