Artsy and Smashing

Tomorrow night, November 2nd, a new CaseCamp-format un-conference will touch down in Toronto. Combining two sessions from the art community and one session from a related industry, ArtSmash is a unique speaker series that will generate a room full of creative ideas. The event is being coordinated by Ella Cooper and presented by the Emerging Arts Professional Network.
Each speaker will be given 20 minutes to share a case study of a project they are or were involved with, explaining the ins, the outs and the nitty gritty details.
The lineup for the first event:
Nuit Blanche - Carole Boughannam, Programming Director & Mike Brown, Sponsorship Manager will share the secrets behind the execution and successful corporate sponsorship of Toronto’s largest public art event.The event will be held at Gallery TPW, 56 Ossington Avenue. Doors open 6:30 p.m., event begins at 7, $10.SAVAC (South Asian Visual Arts Collective) - Haema Sivanesen, Executive Director will discuss Big Stories, Little India a multidisciplinary art and audio project that was created in partnership with [murmur] and Toronto’s Gerrard St. Little India community.
WWF-Canada (World Wildlife Fund) – Tara Wood, Public Relations Manager will share the success behind the social media launch for WWF-Canada’s national global warming awareness campaign that has now been copied around the world.
