Populist: October 22–28
We publish a lot of articles on Torontoist, and sometimes it’s hard to keep up. Populist is a weekly recap, appearing every Sunday night, that features some of the coolest, most interesting, most commented, and most recommended posts from our past week.

- David Topping really does not like Rosie DiManno, but he does like clever billboard defacers taking condo developers to task for their marketing (this week’s most recommended post) and lovely photos of last weekend’s Zombie Walk. So it was, overall, an okay week.
- David Fleischer kicked off Reel Toronto––a new column about movies filmed in Toronto––with Police Academy 3. Nice.
- Marc Lostracco scoped out Citytv’s new home on the outskirts of Dundas Square, in that out-of-place Olympic Spirit building. It makes sense: Gord Martineau has plenty of spirit.
- Sarah Nicole Prickett covered (and continues to cover) Toronto Fashion Week!
- Catherine McCormick is not down with church-condos. Our readers kinda are, though. (This week’s most commented-on post.)
- Karen Whaley checked out the TIAF, an art fair where the I most certainly does not stand for “indie.”
- Tony Makepeace took us inside the reborn Revue Cinema with the latest edition of Panoramaist.
- Julie Reitsma held a battle of the baguettes for yet another Great Torontoist Challenge.
