Because It Wouldn’t Fit In The Survey Box?

Adam + the TTC KNOW how to purchase buses that don’t run off gas, “quite” trains that play soft music (like they have in Montreal), they ship the bills to Stevie Harper! If his friends complain sue them for negligence harming million in T.O. (they are protecting “their” friends + “their money” -> (your money) and lying all the time. “Its EASY”
Then bug Adam Giambrone about holding an Architectural Contest (he can’t see how EASY the possibilities are) around the world (or Canada) for rebuilding, renewing, revitalizing old TTC stations a few at a X, at no cost to the TTC, or people of T.O. or gov’t.
THEY KNOW HOW TO DO THIS! BUG THEM ABOUT IT.

    Okay, let’s look at alternatives to conventional diesel buses.
    There’s compressed natural gas (CNG), but TTC has already decided it doesn’t like those. CNG buses have lower fuel costs, but incur higher maintenance costs because they break down more frequently. CNG engines have higher operating temperatures than diesel and this translates into more maintenance over the life of the vehicle — to the point where it nullifies the fuel savings.
    Hydrogen fuel cell buses don’t exist yet, although Vancouver is getting a fleet of them in 2009 for the following year’s Olympics. We won’t have a good idea about fleet costs vs. diesel until they have been around for a while.
    Diesel-electric buses are functionally diesel buses with electric transmissions. They emit much the same range and amounts of pollutants as diesel buses with mechanical transmissions. When you jam traction batteries into them to recover some energy, they become heavier, and increased weight translates into lower payload (less passengers) and greater maintenance costs (brakes, tires, road surface, etc).
    There’s nothing “easy” about nonpolluting mass transit unless you engage in some magical thinking and intentionally overlook the details.

    It’s too bad we didn’t maintain the electric bus system. It has some drawbacks just like all the other modes, but I’m sure there are routes where it is a superior alternative to the diesel bus in terms of performance, cost and pollution.

    Olson Johnson: Now how can we argue with that? I think we are all indebted to Gabby Johnson here for clearly stating what had to be said. And I’m glad the children were here today to hear that speech. Not only was it authentic frontier gibberish… but it expressed a courage that is little seen in this day and age.

    The new flyer is typed and it’s signature is orange paper, I’ve been giving the information to Adam and David Miller’s co-worker since mid-August but as political government employees is a bit difficult for them to look at how simple the possibilities CAN be.

    Everytime I make a new flyer it turns out better, this was my first flyer, but I am unable to scan them, but it’s very true how easily our perceptions can change but they take SOOOOOOO long, like in the early 70′s for example going in the liquor stores with your Dad or the beer store – Everything was so secretive because the gov’t thought the people would start a riot, but now people walk casually up and down the aisles, and it’s only our perception that’s changed.
    When I see one bus with five camera’s and millions set up to protect the TTC drivers, I’am like? WHY? If they put that money towards enhancing the system for the people, there would be absolutely no need for some to resort to violence in the first place, and most of them I gather have serious side-effects from drugs or have been ruined by the laws of the government family and financially, and act out! (My take!)
    But it IS possible for buses to run off water, it IS possible for Adam to purchase whatever he needs to make the system great for the people, and ship all the bills to Steven Harper, I mean the government employees do work for us, they do have our money and they certainly use it to their advantage! If they complain we just simply sue them – and maybe this is why we’re hearing more about the Federal Gov’t NOW offereing more money for the transit, etc….but you never know if what they’re saying is truth!
    I started a page on Facebook called the TTC Toronto Environmental citizen’ group, or something around that title, I’am usually not on facebook, but I’ll post the url later.
