Trash Talk

As we've told you a few dozen times over the past two weeks, Torontoist's revised TTC survey ends tonight. After a few e-mails to various deep and dark corners of the TTC, we've connected with Michael Anders, the TTC’s Market Research Director and the man in charge of the Public Consultation Survey. Anders is waiting on our data––which, as of right now, consists of some 2,200 unique responses. Hopefully it can be put to some good use.

Still, our optimism isn't without some reservations. On Saturday, Squeakyrat submitted photos to our Flickr pool showing a TTC survey box at Main Street station being used as a garbage can. Though it's just one box at one station, the image of a lone completed survey lying in a pile of used transfers and Canadian Tire money doesn't exactly strengthen our confidence in the TTC's management of the whole thing. We'll just have to keep our fingers crossed.

Let's just hope there are many people doing the survey online. I did. :)

Seeing the Canadian Tire money in there made me laugh.

Really though, is it any surprise people are using it as a trash bin? With that rickety box propped up between the two transfer-dispensing machines, I would do the same.

Thats next to the 23 Dawes Bus platform at Main Station.

Perhaps the CTire money is not garbage, but a donation...
