Hello Kitty!

2007_09_13AnnexCatRescue.jpgBecause there really isn’t any way to say no to a group of people dedicated to saving stray kittens and cats, Torontoist would like to encourage everyone to check out the Annex Cat Rescue’s yard sale this Saturday.

Founded in 1997, the Annex Cat Rescue began as a small group of volunteers and has developed into a large network of foster homes for kittens and tame strays. This group of dedicated volunteers also coordinates an adoption service and feral feeding program for adult cats who aren't suited to become pets.

Since it is a non-profit group, the organization receives no government funds, forcing them to rely entirely on donations and fundraising activities. This Saturday (September 15) from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Howland Avenue just south of Dupont Street the Annex Cat Rescue will be holding a yard sale. Like past events, proceeds will be going towards the veterinary bills of all of the cats under their care. Stock up on everything from cat-toys to typical garage sale fare, because who doesn’t love the bragging rights that come with a great garage sale find?
