Google Says "Yes" To Privacy Law, McGuinty Says "Yes" To Minority Governments, And Royal Bank Says "No" To Michael Vick

GoogleStreetView_26Sep07.jpg

Google Street View will comply with Canadian privacy laws. Don't worry—you can continue to masturbate on the roof of your home in relative peace.

Dalton McGuinty says he would accept a minority government. Gosh, Dalton. That's awfully big of you.

Speaking of minority governments, Stephen Harper admits that a minority government is possible if he calls another election. Considering that the Tories haven't bettered their fortunes in Ontario recently, this earns Torontoist's "well, duh" award of the week.

In other Stephen Harper news, he criticizes the Bush administration for being too nationalistic. Of course, this comes in the same week where we've learned that Harper supports adding Iran's Revolutionary Guard to its terror watchlist (just like the Americans) and that Harper wants Canada to join the Asia-Pacific Partnership on Clean Development and Climate, which Bush supports because it's a voluntary-emissions-reduction pact. So, really, this is not a case of Stephen Harper taking Bush's dick out of his mouth so much as it is Harper complaining a bit about the taste.

Finally: Royal Bank of Canada sues Michael Vick for $2.5 million. The moral here: do not participate in illegal dogfights, kids, because people do not like them at all.

One of our readers, Arieh Singer, captured one of the photo-mapping vans cruising the streets of Toronto in June.

Accusing the Bush Administration of being too nationalistic is like accusing a shark of overeating...it's just what they do.
See, we assume that our governments are people like us...if we assume they are crime families, it makes a lot more sense. The US government makes the Mafia look tame.

I wonder if you guys will follow us into a war with Iran...it's more "when" instead of "if" now.

"Gosh, Dalton. That's awfully big of you."

Well put.
