Do You Like Dancing? Do You Like Offices?

thaoffice_2.jpg

Sure, The Office's season premiere is on next Thursday night, and it's a pretty great show and all, but if there's any one thing wrong with the NBC-hosted comedy, it's that there's never enough office-related hip-hop dancing. (Well, aside from this.) Enter Thrive! Entertainment, whose show Tha Office is playing for the two nights after the aforementioned premiere––Friday the 28th and Saturday the 29th––at the Winter Garden Theatre.

The show is about "office workers living the rat race at a prestigious downtown law firm. Confined in their jobs, escape is all they think about only to be grounded again and again by their superiors. It isn't until two employees, the ones you'd never expect, decide to break from the norm and inspire everyone to let loose, dance, and live out their dreams." Dreams of dance, presumably!

Shawn Byfield, who Torontoist has said "teaches with more energy and enthusiasm than can be contained by four walls," is leading the show with Jeff Wong. Showtime is at 7:30 p.m, and tickets run $29 in advance and $35 at the door. More details are on Thrive!'s website.
