The Daily Photoist: Ward

Every weekday, we pick an image from the Torontoist Flickr Pool and feature it here on the site. It's our way to give the many excellent photographers in our pool the attention they deserve!

While this photo by neuroticjose is mostly occupied by Mary Ward Catholic Secondary School, what caught our eye were the minuscule lights off in the distance, as if they were purposefully tucked in under the horizon. If you've ever flown into Pearson at night, there's a good chance you too have felt the awe of seeing a never-ending landscape littered with tiny lights fluttering past your window.

Besides, when was the last time you saw the horizon?

I second Gloria's comment....awesome photo.

I've never seen my high school look this great! It makes the hell which I call school so appealing.

Beautiful photo
