I don't know, considering there's already one architecturally significant building bounding one side the park (that seems to be generally accepted now), along with a whacking great big (and ugly as hell) apartment building that looms far higher over the park than the AGO will... I can't see this will really be denigrating the neighbourhood.

The photo may be beautiful but the AGO is absolutely overwhelming the neighbourhood. Just look at how it towers over the Grange Park. Notice also how the building is far higher than the 3-storey street-wall that is prevalent in the neighbourhood. It was poorly designed and it is ceasing to be a cultural institution and more of a commercial enterprise. Pity for the Grange neighbours.
