The Daily Photoist: After the Sun Goes Down

Every weekday, we pick an image from the Torontoist Flickr Pool and feature it here on the site. It's our way to give the many excellent photographers in our pool the attention they deserve!

It's pictures like this one, by fermata.daily, that almost makes us forget about the constant smog advisories. The massive power lines create this impressive landscape that almost conceals the tiny apartment building it feeds, just off in the distance. As a bonus, we get this mellow, if almost surreal, gradient that dips well into the purple ranges. Sometimes, it's nice to have a reminder that not everything in Toronto is ugly.
