Every weekday, we pick an image from the Torontoist Flickr Pool and feature it here on the site. It's our way to give the many excellent photographers in our pool the attention they deserve!

You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose, but you can't pick your friend's nose—unless you were at the 25th (and Toronto's first) Just For Laughs festival, which took over Toronto this weekend. The three-day event saw performances by Howie Mandel, Russell Peters, Craig Ferguson, Lewis Black and a myriad of others, including street performers like these two captured by Flickr pool contributor miss_michelle.

Though not profitable this year (attributed to the speed it was put together), Toronto's Just For Laughs was a notable success and proved that, despite what you've heard, Torontonians can laugh at themselves.
