He's Not Santa, But He Is Coming To Town

2007_07_04lewisblack.jpg

The headline doesn't lie, folks. The self-professed "angriest man in America" and The Daily Show regular Lewis Black will be wagging his infamous finger in Toronto as a part of the first annual Just For Laughs Toronto Festival.

Black is taking the place of George Lopez, who was originally slated to host the July 27th Gala at Massey Hall. Because of scheduling conflicts, Lopez had to back out of the event. Alongside Black, the night will be starring Richard Lewis, Jeremy Hotz, Jo Koy, Bob Marley, Ardal O'Hanlon, and Nikki Payne.

Other Galas will be hosted by Canada's own Howie Mandel and Late Late Show host Craig Ferguson. On top of that, Just For Laughs is presenting a special Toronto edition of The Ethnic Heroes of Comedy starring Angelo Tsarouchas, Frank Spadone, The Doo Wops, Sugar Sammy, and Jo Koy.

Tickets are on sale now for all three Galas and The Ethnic Heroes for $45.50 each at Ticketmaster. Just For Laughs will take over Toronto from July 26–28.

"former Late Late Show host Craig Ferguson"

FYI: As far as I know, Ferguson is the current host. Craig Kilborn was the former host.

Thanks for the heads up on Lewis Black. Him, Hotz, and Payne on the same bill will be a fun night.
