Art In The Great Outdoors

2007_07_06art.jpgJust about everything is more fun when it happens outdoors and in public (and we didn't even mean for that to sound dirty). That's the first thing the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition has going for it. It takes place this weekend at Nathan Phillips Square, giving even those intimidated by art galleries the chance to peruse works of art.

Other great things about the exhibition: it awards $30,000 in prize money to artists each year, everyone from established artists to students can show their work and admission is free.

The show runs tonight until 8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. If you're still adorning your walls with tacky posters from your post-secondary days, get down there ASAP. Everyone else can proceed at a normal pace.
