Toronto's tap water places third in blind taste test. So the next time somebody from New York tells you how awesome it is there, you can say "well, sure, but our water is delicious."
Professional wrestler Chris Benoit found dead along with wife and son. Police are investigating it as a double murder/suicide. For those of you who do not follow wrestling, the "Crippler," born in Montreal and raised in Edmonton, was quite possibly one of the best wrestlers of all time, Canadian or otherwise. In related news, police investigating double murder-suicide in Scarborough.
City Council approves two new taxes. Some citizens complain, some councillors defend the move, and absolutely nobody says the blindingly obvious point: if you don't like these taxes, go blame Mike Harris and a decade of provincial downloading.
Atlantic premiers tell American governors that Stephen Harper cannot be trusted. Which is of course exactly the sort of advertising Harper wants spreading out to foreign officials.
Finally, Julian Fantino thinks if you speed 50 km over the speed limit, your car should be seized by police. Well, knowing Julian Fantino, he probably thinks if you speed ten kilometers over the limit, your car should be seized, but people would think that he is crazy if he said that out loud.

As much as agreeing with Julian Fantino on anything is painful, I think if someone is so crazily irresponsible that they drive more then *50km above the speedlimit*, they should loose their car. And their license. Permanently.
If our water is so delicious, why has it tasted SO much like a pool since about sunday afternoon?
Actually, ETCB, I was at that Executive Committee meeting for seven hours yesterday, and a lot of people (both councillors and deputants) correctly placed the blame on "Mike Harris and a decade of provincial downloading."
How you ever got to be Explosively Talented in anything is totally amazing. (I don't actually mean that; it's an Annie Hall joke.)
If only the Atlantic premiers were telling Canadians Harper can't be trusted I might not dread the results of the next election.

I'm sorry but that is rubbish. The blame for implementing downloading was Harris's. The blame for failing to reverse it is McGuinty's. The same is true for the school funding formula - which still exists years after McGuinty was elected and even now that they claim the budget is balanced.
Didn't McGuinty inherit all kinds of provincial debt the Tories failed to accurately report?
Mark: People certainly blamed the Liberals, too.
