Every weekday, we pick an image from the Torontoist Flickr Pool and feature it here on the site. It’s our way to give the many excellent photographers in our pool the attention they deserve!

There’s finally some respite from the muggy heat we’ve been receiving in Toronto and so it’s no surprise that street photographers wandering the Yonge and Dundas area were finding similar scenes to the one above.
We’re particularly fond of this shot by moonwire because of the satisfaction and enjoyment alighting the kid’s face from the “found” bursts of water. It makes us think of a freshly doctored fire hydrant gushing out onto the street with exicited kids splashing and slurping around in the newly made oasis.
