We love giving away free stuff, and since it’s Pride Week, why not go with a theme? Thanks to our friends at Morningstar Entertainment, we’ve got two Pride-related DVD prize packs to give away. Here’s what’s included in each:
A story of two school pals ostracized by their friends and family, The Two of Us was once the most controversial film ever produced by the BBC. Causing an political uproar when first aired in 1987, the film could only be shown at night and the Thatcher government forced a new version to be cut where the character of Phil returns to his girlfriend in the conclusion, leaving his gay tendencies behind (this DVD is the original version with the intended ending).
Created by Aaron Star, founder of New York’s Hot Nude Yoga (link not safe for work!), Better Sex Through Yoga: For Gay Men is a full-body workout that claims to help make sex more satisfying. The obvious benefit is flexibility, but Star says the routines will help develop more intense, full-body orgasms. Whomever wins this, get back to us on that, ’cause we’re skeptical.

The Ballad of Eskimo Nell is a traditional folk poem by an unknown author. Vilified by some as misogynistic, the bawdy poem tells of a “harlot named Eskimo Nell” who gives a bad case of the drips to Mexican Pete and Deadeye Dick. The DVD is a campy story (filmed in the U.K. in 1975) about how three inexperienced filmmakers try to make a movie based on the poem, ending up with four different versions made for four different financial backers—each conducted in the worst possible taste. Eskimo Nell has become a cult satire on adult filmmaking (rather tame, it was intentionally rated “X” in Britain), and is chock-full of inside jokes on the film industry.
Lastly, we’ve got an Eating Out double feature. In the original Eating Out, Kyle (played by American Idol’s Jim Verraros—he’s the one who had the deaf parents) lets his straight roommate and object-of-affection Caleb know that by playing gay, he can get any woman he wants. The film also starts Desperate Housewives‘ Ryan Carnes. In Eating Out 2: Sloppy Seconds, Kyle pretends to be straight in order to curry favour with Troy, horrifying his ex-boyfriend, who’s got a different plan.
