Be on Camera with This Supercool Bicycle

2007_29_6tallartbikecrop.JPGAn art bike! A very, very tall art bike! Want to see it in action?

Benny Zenga of The Winking Circle is making a film for The New Kings’ bicycle anthem "Street Fighter," and he’s shooting at tonight's Critical Mass. He needs people riding bicycles, tricycles, unicycles, you name it, as extras.

The Winking Circle began in Uxbridge with the mission of “the eccentrification of the world.” To make it happen, this group of self-proclaimed creative fools rebuild their bicycles to epic proportions, decorate old, unwanted vehicles to make them into art cars, and continue the serious and infinite search for Sasquatch.

Zenga will also show off his supercool "tall tall bike" during the ride to promote the Bicycle Film Festival visiting Toronto later this summer. Grab your own bicycle (preferably decorated) and ride over to Bloor and Spadina at 6 p.m. (hurry! hurry!) to be a camwhore for this bike vid.

I was totally (accidentally) a part of this on the way back home from work, from approximately Yorkville to Davenport on Avenue. Sadly, I did not see the huge-ass bicycle. I did, however, see furious motorists.

"with the mission of 'the eccentrification of the world?'"

These people are brilliant.

Bikeophiles of the Winking Circle variety may be interested in this upcoming movie, B.I.K.E., about a similar group in New York:

That was an incredible mass. I was a bit scared of the tall bike though.

Mass is my church.

I saw that along Yonge/Wellesley today! It was so cool.

I want to be riding a bike like that next Bicycle Day, April 19th, the high holy day of Matrixism =D
