Throw Me Some Calculating Stones!

If you’re a beadophile, you’re more likely into jewelry and craft making than abacuses and Mardi Gras. Whether you’re a margaretologist or just someone who likes pretty things, check out the Toronto Bead Society's (yes, we have a bead society!) semi-annual Bead and Jewelry Fair on May 5, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., at the YMCA at 20 Grosvenor Street. The group’s website boasts the fair will showcase “African beads, lampwork beads, semi-precious, Swarovski, Czech, seed beads, sterling wire and findings, tools, books, kits, finished jewelry, vintage and much more!” Admission is $4. If you can’t make it, you can join the TBS to get your bead fix. Members get access to beadwork seminars and workshops, and discounts at stores like The Sassy Bead Company and Bead Junction!
