The Daily Photoist: Bridge Light

Each weekday morning(ish), we pick a recent image from the Torontoist Flickr Pool and feature it here on the site. It's our way to give the many excellent photographers in our pool the attention they deserve!

Finding an intense strip of light passing between two bridges, bitefight has captured a striking photo. The high contrast of the rippling water alludes to depths unknown and muddles whether the bright slash is coming from above or below. With the splash of colour focused on a single element, we tend to conjure up images from Frank Miller's Sin City and the similar immediate impact each frame has.
