Sit Down Next To Don Cherry

2007_05_17seatfillers.jpgAre you an awards show fanatic? Do you long for a chance to strut down that red carpet in a fancy tuxedo or evening gown, but lack the talent necessary to get there? Or, do you just like hockey?

More importantly: do you like sitting?

Well here's your chance to be a seat filler for the 2007 NHL Awards. Seat filling is like a game of musical chairs, except in formal wear, and depending on where you land, you might be sitting next to Don Cherry, Bobby Orr, or Pat Quinn.

Essentially, when a seat becomes vacant, for 5 minutes or for the whole show, you come in.

Tickets are free, but rules are strict: you must be 18 years of age or older, no autograph seeking will be tolerated, and the dress code is formal.

The awards show is at the Elgin Theatre on Thursday, June 14. For more information, or to apply, call 416-205-7412 or e-mail nhlawards2007@gmail.com.

Where do you have to wait when you're not filling a seat? Sounds like a job for monkies if you ask me.

The NHL awards use a gmail account?!

Classy!
