Boys Arrested; Soldier Rested; Coffee Is Tested

Two arrests have been made in the shooting death of 15-year-old Jordan Manners. The two boys, both 17, were allegedly very close friends with Jordan, and even attended this weekend's vigils and had offered condolences to Jordan's mom. Here's hoping that this does not prompt more ignorant white guys to claim that children of single mothers shouldn't be friends.

Corporal Matthew McCully's body will be arriving at CFB Trenton today. He will be having an official military funeral in Orangeville on Thursday. People have been flocking to Facebook to share their condolences with friends and family.

Environment Ministers will meet to discuss the federal government's climate change plan in Toronto. Rumour has it today might also be a smog day, as Mother Nature's little guilt trip to John Baird.

A new study shows that drinking at least six cups of coffee a day can reduce gout. This has prompted Starbucks to start a new ad campaign with the slogan: "Want white pus inflaming your feet? No? Then drink our coffee!"

Dalton McGuinty wants a new authority to be in charge of aboriginal land claims. One of these days Dalton will learn that being in charge means actually having to do stuff instead of pushing it off onto other people.

And The Police reunite in Vancouver after a 24 year hiatus. In other news, Wal-Mart has released a new brand of aerodynamic granny panties for all those moms looking to throw their stuff on stage.

It was weird...Last night I swear the Star published the underage suspects names and a picture, but then it came off the site in an hour. Has anyone heard the names?

The media had temporary permission to release the names and the photos of the minors, which is allowed under urgent or dangerous circumstances. Once the ban is back in place, they have to remove the names and photos immediately.

this is a silly side note, but cherry juice is probably the best way to reduce gout. unfortunately the men in my family now have gout and the juice is really working wonders to alleviate any pain.
