Sometimes we receive unexpected answers. There is a reputation and expectation that with the cultural diversity of our country, especially our fair city of Toronto, Canadians and Torontonians alike are an open and accepting bunch of people. But when Proliphic asked his Grade 7 class if any of them had experienced racism, the unanimous response was yes.

After the parades, dedicated days or months, and celebrations, remember the individual day-to-day battles that still occur. Join the class in taking a stand against racism and discrimination. Not just a few times a year, but all the time.
