Each weekday morning, we pick a recent image from the Torontoist Flickr Pool and feature it here on the site. It’s our way to give the many excellent photographers in our pool the attention they deserve!

Soaked in soft shades of pink, the ripples in the water are made more obvious by the huge distortions of the reflected scene. The whimsical colour paired with a creepy silhouette couldn’t have been dreamed up any better by Tim Burton himself, but was found by rock paper scissors ink. Just a great image that evokes an eery calm and beautiful melancholy.
