The Daily Photoist: In the moment

Each weekday morning, we pick a recent image from the Torontoist Flickr Pool and feature it here on the site. It's our way to give the many excellent photographers in our pool the attention they deserve!

Today's image takes us slightly away from the centre of the universe and out to the suburbs of Markham, where Gadflypro caught this interesting perspective of a Macedonian artist creating a fresco in an unnamed church. The dramatic pose and the angle portray the painter perfectly, and the rich colours really make the image pop.

Not sure if the above photo is from the same church, but there's a really gorgeous one up at Highway 404 and Major MacKenzie, called the Cathedral of the Transfiguration, that's not to be missed if you're ever in the area. Check out the link for photos. It's stunning to look at in the early evening and late at night.

Thanks to Gadflypro for today's image.
