Every weekday, Torontoist is facing off local memes and blog drama in a tournament-style ladder and you, the reader, decide the outcome.

View the full ladder here. Some highlights:
ROM Crystal's sharp edges cut Miller's Hair (104 - 101): In the closest and most depressing match of the tournament so far, a napkin sketch gone wild shears the mayor's golden locks from atop his head. The late game upset may qualify for a recount on suspicions of steroid use, yes?
Toronto Islands sink The Beaches (95 - 91): The ultimate NIMBY showdown sees the neighbourhood with an identity crisis get denied like a cross-harbour bridge.
Today's matches, Region III + IV, 3rd Round:
The Annex vs. Island AirportPolls after the jump.
Leafs Fans vs. Bike Lanes
Taste of the Danforth vs. Turnitin.com
Nuit Blanche vs. Kensington Market
Congestion Charge vs. The Environment
Dufferin Grove vs. IllegalSigns.ca
Lower Bay vs. IKEA North York
Spadina North Station vs. 501 Queen Streetcar

How did Parkdale lose to ice? And Miller's hair to that hideous crystal? I'm having an existential crisis.
I found Dufferin Grove vs Illegal Signs to be the toughest pick here... I think I've gotta side with the real world feeling of the Grove, but I'm betting IS takes it because of all the recent publicity
Nuit Blanche vs. Kensington! Existential crisis!
Yeah no kidding, Nuit Blanche vs. Kensington was the first one I actually found hard to choose between. In the end, Kensington won me over though, since it's awesome all year round.
That said....
Taste of the Danforth will destroy turnitin.com!!
I hope this doesn't end with something stupid like anagram map vs. ikea
I must be missing something. Why is turnitin.com in the tourney? Is it because they are headquartered here (are they?)? I just don't know what is so Toronto about it.
i vote for a recount! (miller's hair > crystal)
turnitin.com is in (i am assuming) as a shot at jane pitfield, who released a press release that was obviously plagiarized from spacing. turnitin is a site for catching plagiarism.
Here's the link to that story: http://www.torontoist.com/archives/2006/10/pitfield_rips_o.php
That was pretty nuts.
Matt Blackett, I'm so sorry but I just couldn't vote for Spadina North over the 501. It's lure is just too powerful...
Hey, guys, how come your chart has the Leafs fans advancing? Bike lanes pwned them.
because they are using diebold voting machines..
