The Daily Photoist: everything else burned

Each weekday morning, we pick a recent image from the Torontoist Flickr Pool and feature it here on the site. It's our way to give the many excellent photographers in our pool the attention they deserve!

There are a number of Torontoist Flickr pool contributors who have such a unique style that you can spot one of their images immediately. David Sleep is one of those people. His photos are very distinct in that they're almost all taken at night, very abstract, and have this saturated ethereal feel to them. This photo is no exception. He doesn't offer up much explanation about it, but hopefully we can coax him into leaving a comment with the story behind the image. The richness of the red and the flowing lines of the long exposure give it almost a haunted feel and it looks as though there may be more than one exposure involved.

Be sure to take a look at David's whole stream...he'll make you look at things in a different light (literally). He'll probably also give you the urge to buy each and every one of his images for your walls!
