The Daily Photoist: After The Fall

Each weekday morning, we pick a recent image from the Torontoist Flickr Pool and feature it here on the site. It's our way to give the many excellent photographers in our pool the attention they deserve!

While everyone else was either pining for their companion or giving Cupid the finger on Valentine's Day, Dave MacIntyre took a stroll through the Scarborough Bluffs and came back with quite the stunner for the Torontoist Flickr group. Dave used a technique called tone mapping, which usually tends to look way overdone, however, he applied it perfectly to this photo to give us one heckuva piece of dramatic eye candy.

Sometimes it really pays off to get out there and possibly sacrifice body parts to frostbite in order to get great photos. Thanks for braving the cold and brightening up our day, Dave!

Stunning work, Dave.

Just goes to show you what a talented photographer is capable of producing.

I strongly encourage all the viewers to take a look at Dave's work on both flickr, as well as his bolgs.........this fella knows what he is doing.

This is beautiful. The sky looks like frost.

Thank you for the feature Carrie and to everyone else for the great feedback here and on Flickr.
