The Daily Photoist: Frozen Creme Brulée

Each weekday morning, we pick a recent image from the Torontoist Flickr Pool and feature it here on the site. It's our way to give the many excellent photographers in our pool the attention they deserve!

We're not sure what to make of this strange, surreal image by Torontoist Flickr Pool member G©H (Graham Hutcheson). Whose disembodied boots are these? Was the snow-walker magically whisked away?

Regardless, we love this pic and its sleek minimalism. The blue snow crust with just the faintest cracking -- the creme brulée crunch of snow under foot is just a perfect description. Great vantage point and creativity at work here. How did he leave so much of the snow undisturbed?
