Live Baby Live - Week of Feb. 19

It just never ends. Never. Ends. The stream of tour announcements is still going strong, and we're now at the point where there are 3-4 shows to choose from on some dates -- our calendar is starting to look as busy as a CEO's! As suspected last week, The Police added a second Toronto date to their tour schedule, on July 23 (tickets on sale now)...good thing Sting practices tantric sex so he'll have enough stamina for all of these dates. Sorry, bad visual...shake it off. We're looking forward to the ever adorable Lily Allen, who will be back in town April 5, and is hopefully bringing a bigger setlist with her this time; Feist will be gracing us with her presence at Massey Hall on May 26, in support of her new album The Reminder; and Muse is apparently opening for My Chemical Romance on May 11, but since it's not confirmed, we won't get too excited yet (about Muse, not MCR).
Best bets for this week? The Apples in Stereo tonight at Lee's should be a ton of fun. Congrats to our ticket winners, Michael, Melissa and Rob! Sparklehorse or Final Fantasy are both great choices for Friday evening, and Cuff The Duke will be bringing their alt-country goodness to the Horseshoe on Saturday.
Have we forgotten a show? Let us know! You can also email tips and concert announcements to carrie@torontoist.com.

TOist talked about a concert happening this Saturday earlier today: PodCamp Toronto concert night featuring Uncle Seth, +nurse, and Sean McGaughey at C'est What on Saturday February 24.
As a creepy Muse obsessive, I can tell you that although I am saddened by the fact that they are opening for MCR at all, I'm not too sure they'll be opening for MCR on the Canadian dates.
Muse are only on for the latter half of the tour, but were officially not appearing at the final two US dates. Now that there's been a stack of Canadian dates thrown inbetween the third and second last US date, who knows if Muse is still on.
Might be getting close to their massive shows at Wembley Stadium (they sell out 90 000 tickets... twice. in fifteen minutes and they have to OPEN FOR MCR???) so they could be pulling out of the tour early.
blah blah blah. I hope i dont have to pay for a MCR ticket to see Muse.
Ethan - yeah, it's a bit sketchy...I saw that they were opening in TO on a banner on Last.fm, but can't find a confirmation elsewhere. I've emailed someone who will definitely know the status (as of now, at least), and am waiting to hear back. I was confused about Muse opening, too...I actually thought they were bigger than MCR! Maybe not on this side of the pond. If there's any consolation, at least the tickets are a reasonable price, unlike most ACC shows.
